Embodiment: A Pranakriya Immersion at Santosha Studio in Atlanta, GA

“If you have a body, you are entitled to the full range of feelings. It comes with the package.” – Anne Lamott

Join Pranakriya Director WILLIAM HUFSCHMIDT for a weekend of five independent modules correlating to the five elements. The immersion is open to anyone interested in bringing new possibilities to their practice, especially teachers, and anyone interested in learning more about Pranakriya style of yoga and it’s Teacher Training Programs.

Fri 6p-9p – Part I – Your Body as EARTH – Asana and Gravity
The earth is the foundation of every asana, and this module explores how to interact better with the earth and it’s gravity. Our evening practice will include identifying each muscle and bone, plus create safe movements for every joint.

Sat 9a-12:30p – Part II – Your Body as SPACE – Meditation in Motion
Everything about our body is in motion, pulsation, spanda, and every movement sends a message to our brain.. What if meditation was about learning to better perceive the messages from your body? This module includes a vinyasa practice to explore meditation as a tool for finding more safe and stable possibilities.

Sat 2:30p – 6p – Part III – Your Body as AIR – Pranayamas #1-#10
Without air and breathe, our body would survive barely a few moments. This module explores the theory behind pranayama practices, while learning 10 different techniques to bring to your practice.

Sun 9a-12:30p – Part IV – Your Body as FIRE – The Deeper Practices
The Pranakriya Yoga practice unites the rituals of Asana, Pranayama and Meditation to create deep experiences of oneness, stillness and clarity. This will be a longer yoga practice, and a deep dive into Pranakriya Yoga. All levels are welcome – please practice to your capacity.

Sun 2:30p-6p – Part V – Your Body as WATER – Integrating Wholeness
Pranakriya Yoga asks practitioners to embody the experiences that come out of our practice, and to integrate the experiences so we can experience greater levels of aliveness. This module will explore some elements of yoga philosophy and will end with a pranayama and yoga Nidra practice.

Enrollment: $200
Earlybird: $175 by February 16, 2018
$50 per segment

If you can’t attend the entire weekend, please join us for the segments that match your schedule. Each of this program’s five segments will include a talk, then a practice, then an integration experience. Plan to stay for the entire 3.5 hours, please.

There are somethings that must be experienced in person to truly understand yoga: on Maui, with William & Jacci is one of those things.

"Prana in the Pacific" Maui, HI, Oct 2016

I found the group circle at the beginning and end most meaningful. Also, I especially enjoyed sunset practices on the lawn and the “third party” vendors you chose for kayak/snorkling, sunset sailing and catering – all were pros. I appreciated the thoughtful touches too: our box, manadalas for coloring, stocking the kitchen with dietary preferences in mind. Some level of personal growth always comes with group travel. I enjoyed the diversity of practitioners and appreciated their examples. I will take those examples with me, and the island itself gave me meaningful lessons. Overall, this trip was exceptionally well executed and MUCH appreciated. Mahalo!

Statement of Faith

If we are somehow endowed with participation of some kind of divinity, then we are indeed special, and should treat each other with the respect and dignity this demands.

If, on the other hand, we are the accidental outcome of blind natural processes in a cosmos that is indifferent to us being here at all, then we are indeed special, and should treat each other with a tenderness and respect befitting such serendipitous surprises.
